In 1996, the Olomouc Museum of Art published the first volume in the edition Olomouc Picture Gallery. It covered old Italian painting from the collection in Olomouc. This second volume of the Olomouc Picture Gallery, by , is devoted to the Netherlandish, Dutch and Flemish, old art from the local collections. The series is to be concluded with a book on old Central European painting, also from the Olomouc collections. Unlike the luckier Italian collection, the collection of the Netherlands paintings enjoyed much less publicity and has so far remained unpublished. This book presents the complete collection of 139 paintings, illustrated and described in detail. It includes an index of iconography and an index by artist. (Erasmus)
