Hilly landscape with cattle, sheep and a herdsman. Panel, 63 × 54 cm.
Leiden, Stedelijk Museum paintings by Janson and a fourth he thought was by the same master, along with four other paintings.
A landscape much like the unframed work on the easel in Janson's painting of the van Spijks (see nr. 4). The artist sometimes produced such paintings van Spijk collection. The easy acceptance by his patrons of Janson's work is typical of the undemandingness of the Leiden art world in the later eighteenth century.
