The beauty of precision: fascination books and graphical art featuring the Liberna collection Exhibition: 13 October 2012 - 6 January 2013

This exhibition presents an impressive private collection: the Liberna collection. This collection, founded by Bernard Brenninkmeijer (1893–1976), features precious manuscripts, but above all early printed books and high-quality prints and drawings, particularly from the 15th to 17th centuries. Highlights include illuminated books of hours, rare editions of icunables, magnificent volumes, prints by Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt and drawings by artists such as Guercino and Anthony van Dyck

The exhibition shows a choice of ca. 100 works in a dialogue with loans from Berlin, Kassel, Cologne, Munich and Vienna.
