CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

The Mauritshuis is organizing a symposium to celebrate the recent public conservation and restoration of The Bull (De stier, 1647), which was part of A Peek at Potter – Investigating the Bull.  The restoration of the painting and research into Paulus Potter’s materials and techniques have resulted in exciting insights and new discoveries. 

This symposium also marks the end of the ‘Potter year’, which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the birth of Paulus Potter (1625-1654).

The symposium will be held at the Mauritshuis (Den Haag) on Friday, 30 January 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. A reception will follow between 17:00 and 18:00.

All presentations will be held in English.
