Frederiksborg is seeking a highly qualified museum curator with a focus on sixteenth- to seventeenth-century art. The vacancy has been translated from Danish to English:
Museum Curator at Frederiksborg
An impressive castle, an outstanding collection, and wonderful colleagues. Would you like to join the team as Frederiksborg renews itself and creates a contemporary museum within its historic setting? They are currently seeking a highly qualified museum curator specializing in art from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day work with the collection, the curator will focus on a planned reinstallation of the permanent galleries and contribute to the conceptual development and production of the museum’s upcoming temporary exhibitions.
At Frederiksborg, they work across disciplines and draw inspiration from their differences. The team of curators complements one another across historical periods and areas of expertise, but what they all share is curiosity and a desire to communicate, contextualize, and discuss history and art—both with one another and with the museum’s visitors.
