De Belgische opstand

The Belgian Revolution Exhibition: 31 August 1999 - 2 February 2000

This exhibition focuses on the Belgian Revolution of 1830, which led to the secession of the southern provinces from the United Kingdom of the Netherlands and the birth of independent Belgium. Through a curation of historical artifacts, prints, and artworks from the museum’s collection, the exhibition explores the political tensions, the civil unrest, and the artistic reflections of this pivotal conflict that permanently reshaped the borders of the Low Countries.
