Applicants for this position should be doctoral candidates who wish to pursue a curatorial career in an art museum and are within two years of completing their dissertation. The appointment is for two years. The Curatorial Fellow, whose time will be divided between completing their degree and gaining museum experience, will work closely with the curatorial department on projects, exhibitions, and symposia. The application deadline is traditionally between the end of January and March. When available, updated fellowship listings and application instructions will be posted on the Frick website.

The Fellow is considered a full-time temporary employee for the duration of their two year fellowship and will be eligible for all benefits associated with full-time employment. The Frick will cover travel expense related to research.

At the time of writing, the current program is expected to begin in September 2024 and conclude in August 2026.
