Annual research scholarship for the study of one or more early modern artists from the Southern Netherlands (16th-18th centuries) whose work was influenced by Italy, in all art forms (drawing, manuscript illumination, painting, sculpture, tapestry, architecture), or the comparative study of Belgian and Italian attitudes towards conservation treatments. The scholarship allows the scholar to carry out research in Rome for two months (Academia Belgica).
Requirements
A master’s or doctoral degree in art history from a Belgian university.
