A research grant from the Vereniging Rembrandt enables a Dutch museum to temporarily employ a young researcher to conduct research on (part of) the collection. The research can be art historical as well as object-based. Applications are submitted jointly by the museum and the researcher. Several grants are available. The amount of each grant is usually a maximum of 25,000 euros.
Requirements
- Applicants must be early-career scholars, generally no older than 35 years of age.
- Applicants must hold a relevant Master’s or Doctoral degree.
- Applicants who have a temporary or permanent appointment at the applying museum at the start of the grant are excluded from participation.
- The results of the research will be published (digitally).

Deadline
Two application rounds per year. The deadlines are April 1 and October 1.
