CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

Registration for CODART’s Public Anniversary Symposium ‘The Curator of the Future’ Opened

You can now register for CODART’s 25th Anniversary Symposium. On Friday 6 October, at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, we will celebrate 25 years of connecting curators of Dutch and Flemish art and we will present and discuss the findings of the research project ‘The Curator of the Future’, which CODART commissioned earlier this year.

Topics will include the role of knowledge in the museum, collaboration in and outside of the museum, and the relationship between object and story. You can find the symposium program on the event page. We will add more information about the speakers and details of the program regularly, so keep an eye on our website.

The event will be opened by Will Gompertz, best-selling author of What Are You Looking At? and Artistic Director of the Barbican Centre in London. Warda El-Kaddouri, a Belgian-born, Amsterdam-based researcher and journalist, will wrap up the symposium with considerations on the past, present, and future, and ideas about multivocality. Concluding, we will celebrate 25 years of CODART during a festive reception, kindly offered by the Representative of the Flemish Government in the Netherlands.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in Dutch and Flemish art, and/or the curatorial practice. Please feel free to share this message with your network. Should you have any questions or remarks regarding the event, please contact us through 25@codart.nl.

We look forward to seeing you in Amsterdam!
