The Historians of Netherlandish Art will hold an international conference from May 27th to 29th, 2010 in Amsterdam. This, the second HNA conference to be held in Europe, will provide a rich and varied programme of sessions and workshops, all of which will address the overall theme of "Crossing Boundaries". 60 speakers will present their findings on issues relating to the erection, dismantling and breaching of boundaries, natural and artificial, be they geographical, methodological, temporal, political, and artistic boundaries, the boundaries of gender, and those imposed by and on the different media. Eighteen workshops will provide participants with the opportunity to partake in discussions in smaller groups. The conference will conclude with a joint HNA/CODART session in which six invited speakers will initiate discussion on the subject of "Crossing Boundaries in New Museum Presentations".
