Information from the exhibition’s website, 13 May 2015
This summer, Tallinn Town Hall has the privilege of hosting a unique exhibition of European Old Masters from the 15th-17th century. The exhibition includes original artworks by such masters as Pieter & Jan Brueghel, Lucas Cranach, Peter Paul Rubens, Albrecht Dürer, David Teniers, Jakob von Hulsdonck, Jacob Savery, Jan Massys etc. Never before have masterpieces of this quality and amount – almost 80 paintings – been presented in Estonia or our neighbouring countries (apart from the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg).
The artworks come from private collections from all over the world.
The exhibition covers the whole town hall and changes temporarily the appearance of the interiors. Temporary partition walls will be built in order to display the paintings (even in the Citizens Hall and the Council Chamber), thus leaving less space for visitors in the halls. Most of the seats will be removed. Consequently, the maximum group size we can allow is 20 people.
