From the museum website

On July 1, Eric Ebbinge will take formal leave as Director of the Teyler Museum. During his directorship of almost 19 years the museum made acquisitions of important collections of drawings as well as of individual sheets. At the same time, financial donations from the Friends of the Teyler Museum made it possible to purchase works from contemporary artists once again. A selection of the most important drawings acquired during Ebbinge’s directorship is on show in a small farewell exhibition. More than 50 sheets and sketchbooks cover a period of around 1490 to the present day. Drawings by artists such as Frans Pietersz. de Grebber, Hendrick Goudt, Hendrick Goltzius, Wybrand Hendriks, George Breitner, but also by Giambattista Tiepolo, François Boucher, Camille Pissarro, Camille Corot, Edouard Manet and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec can be admired. Works on paper by contemporary artists such as Co Westerik, Constant, Lucassen, Marlene Dumas, Waldo Bien and Fons Brasser are also on view.
