Featuring over 100 works of 17th Century Dutch art and furniture in celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the arrival of the Dutch in New York. Collector George Way’s keen eye and passionate search for exquisite works of art over the past four decades has resulted in one of the finest collections of Dutch and English furniture, artifacts and fine arts in North America. Dutch Treats features a furnished period room and a gallery that includes some of the treasures in Way’s collection. George Way’s remarkable collection will soon become a permanent part of Snug Harbor’s Visual Arts program fulfilling this native Staten Islander’s desire to share Dutch and English art and design with the community.
