This exhibition shows more than 80 works, reflecting the main stages in the development of Flemish still life, the diversity of its types, as well as the variety of artists’ individual styles. The works are not only from the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, but also from the State Hermitage, regional art museums and Moscow private collections. Until now, they were practically unknown to a wide audience. The works will undoubtedly not only decorate the exhibition halls, but also demonstrate the continuity of generations in the 300-year history of collecting Flemish paintings in Russia.
A fundamental scientific catalogue with texts by researchers from the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the State Hermitage will accompany the exhibition.
