Arthur Wheelock is senior curator of 17th-century painting in the National Gallery of Art in Washington and a renowned scholar on Avercamp. In his lecture (in English) he will discuss all aspects of Avercamp’s work. After the lecture in the Mennonite church you will leave for the Rijksmuseum by boat. There you will visit the exhibition Hendrick Avercamp: IJspret.
The program starts 13:30 in the Mennonite church, Singel 452 in Amsterdam. It ends ca. 18:00 in the Rijksmuseum.
Costs: € 25,- per person (includes coffee/tea, boat transfer, entrance to the museum, glass of wine)

In zijn Engelstalige lezing belicht hij alle facetten van Avercamps kunstenaarschap. Na de lezing in de Singelkerk gaat u aansluitend per rondvaartboot naar het Rijksmuseum. Daar brengt u op eigen gelegenheid een bezoek aan de tentoonstelling Hendrick Avercamp: IJspret.
