The exhibition entitled The Secret of Dresden – From Rembrandt to Canaletto presents a generous selection from the world-renowned collection of the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden. The exhibition covers the rich culture of Saxony in the eighteenth century, especially under the rule of August the Strong (reigned from 1694 to 1733) and his son August III (reigned from 1733 to 1763). They accumulated an enormous art collection that became one of the most notable in Europe. The exhibition presents masterpieces by Rembrandt, Velasquez, Titian, Canaletto and others.
