On April 29, 2009, an exhibition opens in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium that looks at twenty sixteenth-century masterpieces in the permanent collection from a financial and economic perspective. This approach represents the continuation of an initiative that highlighted fifteenth-century masterpieces from this rather unusual but fascinating point of view in 2008. Thanks to the continued support of the European Association of Public Banks (EAPB), artworks from the permanent collection are shown in a new light, year after year, century by century, without selling short their aesthetic qualities.
