Information from the museum, 20 April 2010
The Siegerlandmuseum in Siegen holds a collection of portraits grouped around Prince William of Orange (1533-1584). Especially his youngest son Frederick Henry (1584-1647), his children and his grandchildren are well-represented. The portraits that are normally in storage as a consequence of lack of room are now on show in this exhibition, to which prints are added. Although the focus of the exhibition will be on the 16th and 17th centuries, the exhibition will offer an overview from René de Chalon to the present.
