Information from the Rijksmuseum
The exhibition Rembrandt and the Golden Age: highlights from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, is the first major presentation of seventeenth-century Dutch art in China. More than 70 paintings and prints by leading masters, together with Delftware and silver from the collection of the Rijksmuseum, can now be admired in the Shanghai Museum. Taken as a whole, these works of art tell the intriguing story of the seventeenth-century Dutch Republic and of the magnificent art it produced during its Golden Age.
