The Barber Institute’s autumn exhibition reunited to of van Dyck’s most moving religious paintings: Ecce Homo (c. 1625-6; the Barber Institute of Fine Arts) and The Mocking of Christ (c. 1628-30); Princeton University Art Museum). Last seen together over twenty years ago, they will be shown alongside Titian’s Ecce Homo from the National Gallery of Ireland, and related drawings and prints by van Dyck, his predecessors and contemporaries.
