Harmony in Bright Colors: Memling’s Christ between Singing and Music-making Angels Restored

Symposium: 13 March - 14 March 2017

One of the highlights of the collection of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp is Christ between Singing and Music-making Angels attributed to Hans Memling and assistants. For 16 years a team of conservators and scientists were involved in the complex conservation treatment of these three large panel paintings that undoubtedly belong to the most monumental works in early Netherlandish art.
To celebrate the completion of the conservation treatment, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp organizes a two days symposium in cooperation with the University of Antwerp.
