The Cultural Heritage Agency is a leading, independent knowledge institute for the preservation and management of moveable cultural heritage. Museums, libraries, archives and other collection custodians can make use of the CHA’s services. The CHA has locations in Amsterdam and Rijswijk and is part of the Ministry for Education, Culture and Science.
The CHA collection comprises more than 100,000 objects. Approximately half of them are on loan to museums and other institutions. The remainder is stored in a storage room at the Collections department, located in Rijswijk, where the CHA has facilities at its disposal with more than 12,000 square meters of storage space and studios for complicated technical activities and restorations.
