Head of Collections and Exhibitions

In this role you will lead the Exhibitions Department and its team of six curators as well as the Collections Management Department, consisting of a team head, a museum registrar, an information specialist, and a repository manager. As a member of the management team, you will help shape and guide the museum’s policies. You will work with the director and report to them.

Main responsibilities

• Working together with your teams, you will develop multi-year exhibition programs and a sustainable collection plan, transforming them into a feasible schedule, budget, and smooth organizational processes. You monitor the execution, progress, finances, and quality of exhibition projects, publications, and programs; make adjustments when necessary, and perform evaluations.
• You are adept at identifying funding opportunities for projects and possible new additions to the collection. You will develop the departments, people, and plans in line with the museum’s artistic content strategy and future ambitions;\
• Together with the director, you will represent Het Noordbrabants Museum on the national and international museum scene among donors, institutional collection managers, or government
  bodies and agencies.
