On 1 January 2012 Alexander van Grevestein will step back as the director of the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht. After that he will lead some project until his retirement in July 2013.

Van Grevenstein has led the museum for 25 years. In that time the museum has moved into a new and prominent building, has acquired new collections and has engaged in relations with a number of private collectors.
