In the coming months, David de Witt will be working as a guest curator for Museum het Rembrandthuis in Amsterdam. Since 2001 he has been working as the Bader curator of European Art at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre in Kingston, Canada. His work has focused on the life and work of Rembrandt and his circle of pupils and followers. His research also includes other European artists represented in the Bader collection. A catalogue concerning this latter group of paintings will appear later this year.
In 2008 David published a catalogue of the 200 Dutch and Flemish works in the Bader collection. The year before his monograph on the painter Jan van Noordt appeared.

De komende maanden zal David de Witt als gastconservator werkzaam zijn in Museum Het Rembrandthuis. Hij is sinds 2001 verbonden als Bader Curator of European Art aan het Agnes Etherington Art Centre in Kingston, Canada. Hij heeft zich tot nog toe gericht op het leven en werk van Rembrandt en zijn kring van leerlingen en navolgers. Daarnaast verricht hij onderzoek naar die Europese schilders wier werk in de Bader Collectie vertegenwoordigd zijn. In 2008 publiceerde David De Witt een catalogus van 200 Hollandse en Vlaamse werken in deze collectie. Het jaar daarvoor verscheen zijn monografie over de schilder Jan van Noordt. Dit jaar zal zijn catalogus van 70 Bader schilderijen uit verschillende scholen uitkomen.
