At the start of a long television interview on 14 February, Princess Maxima was asked how she first heard of the Netherlands. Her answer was: “through art.” In the course of the discussion, she indicated that her ambition as a member of the royal house was to further the integration of young immigrants to the Netherlands. Let us hope that in that important task she will help other newcomers to admire Dutch art as well.
