Het Noordbrabantsmuseum in ‘s-Hertogenbosch appointed Jacqueline Grandjean as its new director. Starting 1 July, she succeeds Charles de Mooij, who retires after fiteen years.
Jacqueline Grandjean studied film studies and art history in Amsterdam and completed The Getty Leadership Institute program. After projects at the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem, she was curator at the Amsterdam Museum.
From 2012 to 2021, Grandjean was director of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, which under her leadership grew into an art museum and exhibition venue. The exhibitions realized under her artistic leadership were succesful and focused on the combination of Old Masters and contemporary art. In 2021 she was appointed artistic director of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The collaboration came to an end after three months due to a difference of opinion.
