Manfred Sellink is the New Director of the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent

Manfred Sellink has been appointed director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent (MSK). He was selected by an external jury, the museum announced last Thursday. Sellink will succeed Cathérine Verleysen on 1 April 2021, who had been appointed as interim director in March 2018.

Manfred Sellink has been an active member of CODART since 1998. He served on the board of CODART from 2008 to 2017. Sellink has a doctorate in art history (VU University Amsterdam) with a dissertation on the engraver and draftsman Philips Galle. Until recently, Sellink was director of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). Previously he was director of the Musea Brugge and Senior Curator at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. In addition, he has been visiting professor of Arts Policy and Museum Studies at Ghent University since 2012. He has contributed to many international exhibitions since 1990 and held numerous board positions.
