CODART is pleased to announce that our longtime member, Dr. Nadine Orenstein, has been appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. The royal decoration was presented by Consul General Ahmed Dadou on behalf of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander during a ceremony in New York City.

Nadine Orenstein, the Drue Heinz Curator of Drawings and Prints at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, is a leading specialist in Dutch and Flemish works on paper. The knighthood recognizes her “exceptional service to society,” specifically highlighting her role in fostering deep and lasting relationships between Dutch and American institutions, including the partnership between The Met and Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.
