A new issue of the Annales d’Histoire de l’Art et d’Archéologie (AHAA) is now available. This volume marks the journal’s new inter-university collaboration, featuring contributions from four French-speaking Belgian universities. Reflecting this partnership, the journal will henceforth carry the subtitle: Revue des universités francophones de Belgique.
New Collaboration
Published since 1979, the AHAA is an annual academic journal that aims to present original research in all fields of art history and archaeology, from Antiquity to the nineteenth century, with particular attention given to the analysis of artworks.
Originally developed within the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the journal will now become an inter-university project bringing together editors and contributions from researchers affiliated with four French-speaking Belgian universities — located in Brussels, Liège, Louvain, and Namur.
This new editorial structure broadens the journal’s reach, fosters interdisciplinary exchange, and ensures a diversity of approaches in the published research. To guarantee the sustainability of the journal, the Périer-D’Ieteren Foundation has agreed to provide financial support and oversee its practical organization.
