A new feature has been published on the CODART website. The Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille is home to one of France’s most impressive art collections, particularly its renowned group of paintings of the Northern School. Curator Donatienne Dujardin recounts which historical events, directors and collectors shaped the collection, which includes masterpieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Bouts, Lastman, Lievens, and many others.
