Catalogue of Dutch paintings in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow presented in the Rijksmuseum

The English edition of the first scholarly catalogue of Dutch paintings in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow was presented in Moscow on 28 September. Yesterday, 12 November, in the Rijksmuseum the book was presented to all those, who couldn’t be there in Moscow.

Wim Pijbes, director of the Rijksmuseum, welcomed the group of attendees and stressed the importance of international cooperations such as these. Lia Gorter, director of Stichting Cultuur Inventarisatie, the foundation who initiated the English translation of the catalogue, proudly recalled the seven years of hard work by many people that produced this catalogue and praised the author of the original work, Maria Senenko, who passed away in 2006. Supporters, sponsors and collaborators on the project received a copy of the catalogue from Teun van Hellenberg Hubar, chair of the board of Stichting Cultuur Inventarisatie and their due ovation from the audience.
