New Online Forum for Discussion and Identification of Drawings in Public Collections

A collaborative online platform for the drawings community has been launched. The new Trois Crayons Museum Forum aims to facilitate the discussion and identification of premodern drawings in public collections. The forum is free-to-use and designed to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas among museum curators, scholars, art dealers and the wider public.

Registered curators and researchers can share works from their collections to address unresolved questions related to attribution, sitter identity, dating, subject matter, and provenance. The forum covers drawings from all major schools from the premodern period, including Dutch and Flemish works. By opening these discussions to a global community of experts and enthusiasts, the platform aims to enhance visibility and provide new perspectives on drawings that might otherwise remain in obscurity.

The forum can be viewed by anyone but participation in discussions requires free registration. See troiscrayonsforum.org for more information and current discussions.
