Work to restore the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb (The Ghent Altarpiece) by the Van Eyck brothers will begin in October of 2012. It will be carried out over a five-year period. At the Museum of Fine Arts you will be able to see the restorers at work behind glass. At the Carmelites Convent you will learn more about the restoration. STAM reveals the story behind the stolen side panel ‘The Just Judges’. The Mystic Lamb will still be on show in St Bavo’s Cathedral.
