Master Drawings Appoints Robert Fucci as Editor

Master Drawings, the academic quarterly on Western draftsmanship, announced the appointment of Robert Fucci as the journal’s new editor. Fucci succeeds Jane Turner who retired last year after serving as the publication’s editor since mid-2004.

Robert Fucci, an asscociate member of CODART since 2014, is a specialist in seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish art, especially works on paper, and a lecturer in art history at the University of Amsterdam. He is currently spearheading a project devoted to watermarks in papers used by Rembrandt and his circle which combines innovative technical art history with traditional connoisseurship. He recently catalogued the notable collection drawings assembled by Sheldon and Leena Peck, resulting in the exhibition “Drawn to Life: Master Drawings from the Age of Rembrandt in the Peck Collection at the Ackland Art Museum,” shown at the Ackland Art Museum, Chapel Hill, and the Rembrandt House Museum, Amsterdam in 2022-2023.
