Marie-Stéphanie Delamaire, Curator of European and American Art at Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh and member of CODART since 2025, would like to share a research inquiry that may be of interest to CODART members.
Delamaire is currently organizing an exhibition on Maria van Oosterwijck (1630–1693), to open at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh on 16 September 2028. As part of her research, she is attempting to locate a flower still life that was illustrated in a 1992 Haboldt & Co. catalogue titled Portrait de l’artiste. Images des peintres 1600-1890 (p. 85). The painting is of considerable interest for the exhibition, and she is hoping to determine its current location and ownership. The gallery connected to the painting and this publication has been contacted but the whereabouts of the painting remain unknown at this time.
