Paintings by David Bailly Sought for Exhibition

Curators of Museum De Lakenhal in Leiden are looking for information concerning several paintings by David Bailly (1584–1657).

The museum is currently preparing an exhibition about the Leiden-born artist in which De Lakenhal’s own Vanitas still life with self-portrait will be a central piece among (inter)national loans. The exhibition is scheduled from 10 March to 2 July 2023 and is co-curated by Christiaan Vogelaar and Janneke van Asperen.

Any information regarding the current whereabouts of the pictures listed below can be sent to Janneke van Asperen (j.van.asperen@lakenhal.nl).
