Annual Reports of CODART and the Friends of CODART Foundation

The annual reports of CODART and the Friends of CODART Foundation for the year 2023 are now available on the CODART website.

The year 2023 was a festive and successful year for CODART, as the organization marked its 25th anniversary with a variety of celebratory and informative activities that put the spotlight on the collections of Dutch and Flemish art in museums and on the curators who work with these collections. As well as looking back, much attention was paid to the current and future role of the museum curator. The changing nature of the profession was the subject of a survey commissioned by CODART, and the topic of a public anniversary symposium at the Rijksmuseum. More exposure was achieved for the curator and for CODART, which can be seen, among other things, in the increase of the number of people reached both offline through conferences and CODARTfocus meetings, and online through the website, news services and followers on our social media.

The Friends of CODART Foundation looks back on a successful year, in which many new Patrons and Donors were welcomed. One of the many highlights of the past year was the collaboration with the Cultuurfonds to facilitate a Curator’s Stipend, which was awarded to the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. Additionally, the Friends of CODART supported the CODART 25th anniversary project, the congress in Antwerp, the collection summaries project, and enabled eleven curators to participate in the CODART 24 congress through the Friends of CODART Grant Program. Several events were organized for Friends, including an afternoon at art fair BRAFA and the Patrons Salon at TEFAF Maastricht.

The report for CODART is available in Dutch with an English summary. The report of the Friends of CODART is only available in Dutch.
