Wietske Donkersloot leaves CODART

As she rounds off the website project that she ran for the past year and a half, Wietske Donkersloot is leaving CODART. We would like to thank her for all the work she has done for CODART. Wietske has been an important driving force behind many developments within CODART, Together with Gary Schwartz and the website committee she initiated profound renewals of our website www.codart.nl. As the project manager of the website project she gave a considerable new impulse to CODART’s most important means of communication. With the completion of the project, she leaves a very special legacy, which contributes vastly to the face of CODART.

We wish her all the best in her work as a Mellon Fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Art History (RKD) and the Mauritshuis.

Tom van der Molen appointed website manager

As of 15 November, Tom van der Molen (1977) started working as the new website manager at CODART. Until 1 April Tom will share responsibility for the website with Gary Schwartz. After that, Tom will be responsible for the maintenance of the site and for its future developments, as Gary hopes to start a project to further expand the museum information on the site. Tom is an art historian, specializing in 17th-century Dutch painting. He has recently been working as an assistant to Norbert Middelkoop in the Amsterdam Historical Museum on the catalogue of paintings until 1800, De oude meesters van de stad Amsterdam. At the moment he is working on the upcoming exhibition of Old Master paintings in the same museum. Tom looks forward to expand the possibilities of the CODART website while maintaining its quality.
