CODART member Dr. Thomas Döring is awarded honorary professorship today

Today, in the auditorium of the Braunschweig University of art Thomas Döring is awarded an honorary professorship. After Prof. Dr. Victoria von Flemming, professor for Renaissance and Baroque studies at Braunschweig University of Arts has held her laudatio, Dr. Thomas Döring will hold his inaugural address entitled “Zweierlei Seneca- Guido Reni vs. Peter Paul Rubens un die Folgen” (Dual Senecas: Guido Reni vs. Peter Paul Rubens and what ensued). CODART congratulates Prof. Dr. Thomas Döring with his new position.

Thomas Döring studied art history, medieval and modern  history and classical archeology in Göttingen and Bonn. From 1993 onwards he has worked as the head of the department of prints and drawings at the Herzog Anton Ulrich-museum in Braunschweig.
