CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

Friends of CODART Board Changes and New Committee Members

In the past period, several changes have taken place within the board of the Friends of CODART Foundation, the CODARTfeatures editorial board, and the Program Committee. We are pleased to introduce the new members.

Board of the Friends of CODART Foundation

Hildegard van de Velde, curator at the Snijders&Rockox House in Antwerp, has joined the board of the Friends of CODART Foundation. She succeeds Christi Klinkert, whom we thank sincerely for her commitment and enthusiasm over the past six years. A CODART member since 2012, Van de Velde brings extensive experience and a valuable network in Flanders and beyond to the board.

Editorial Board

The editorial board of the features has expanded from five to six members and welcomes three new members:

  • Olenka Horbatsch, Assistant Keeper, Dutch, Flemish and German Prints and Drawings before 1880, British Museum, London
  • Antien Knaap, Rose-Marie and Eijk van Otterloo Curator of Paintings, Art of Europe, MFA, Boston
  • Yuri van der Linden, Curator State Collection, Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, Amersfoort

They succeed Jacquelyn Coutré and Cécile Tainturier. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jacquelyn and Cécile for their valuable contributions, excellent ideas, and critical insights over the past six years. Thanks to their efforts, we have been able to publish a great number of wonderful articles.

By expanding the editorial board to include curators with diverse expertise, CODART can ensure its articles provide a more comprehensive balance of art across different media and historical periods.

Program Committee

Although we will miss Cécile Tainturier’s expertise on the editorial board, we are delighted to announce that she joined the CODART Program Committee this summer. With her extensive experience as a specialist in seventeenth-century Dutch drawings and a curator at the Fondation Custodia, Frits Lugt Collection in Paris, she will ensure that works on paper remain well-represented in CODART’s upcoming activities.
