CODART, Dutch and Flemish art in museums worldwide

Join the CODART Website Committee

Please be reminded that there is only one week left to apply for our Website Committee!

The CODART Website Committee is looking for two new members. The committee is a sounding board for the CODART website and its primary focus is on the content, usage and future development of CODART’s website. Whereas in the past, members were approached with a request to join this committee, we now want to open up the recruitment procedure to anyone who fits the profile as described below. With two vacancies in committee, we are looking for CODART members or invested members of the public who fit the profile.

The website committee meets twice a year. One meeting takes place during the annual congress, the other on Zoom. Committee members are expected to attend all meetings, either physically or online. Each member serves on the committee for a three-year term of office, which can be extended by a second term.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • have experience in and/or strong views on presenting word and image online;
  • are familiar with the CODART website or similar websites;
  • are a member of CODART or have a clear understanding of the working area of museum curators of Dutch and Flemish Old Masters;
  • are eager to proactively signal opportunities for CODART to improve its website;
  • enjoy the possibilities offered by new digital technologies and initiatives;
  • are avid users of social media.

Meetings are held in English.

Curators, museum professionals, CODART enthusiasts and anyone else interested in joining this committee are invited to apply by sending us a curriculum vitae with a brief letter (max. 300 words) explaining their reasons for applying to before 18 September 2023. From the applications received, two candidates will be chosen by the committee and the CODART team. The website committee consists of up to six members. Our aim is to strengthen the diversity within CODART, including in the committees. We will be taking into account factors such as geographical distribution, experience and areas of interest. The composition of the current website committee can be found on the Committees Page on the CODART website.
