Museum of Fine Arts Boston Seeks Curatorial Research Assistant for Paintings in the Art of Europe Department

One of the qualifications for the opening at the MFA for a curatorial research assistant is knowledge of Dutch, German and/or Spanish.

The Art of Europe department seeks a curatorial research associate to contribute to the study and management of paintings in the collection as well as to the organization of special exhibitions. Minimum requirements: M.A. in art history, pertinent work experience, aptitude with computers and databases, and reading knowledge of Dutch, German, and/or Spanish. Preference will be given to candidates with a concentration in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century European painting. This full-time position begins in December 2008 and lasts for two years with potential for renewal. Applications are being accepted immediately; job will remain posted until filled.
