Allen Memorial Art Museum in Oberlin reopens today after 20-month renovation

After 20 months of renovation works, Oberlin college’s Allen Memorial Art Museum is reopening today. The renovation modernized the museum’s historic building and allows it to better protect and present its fabulous collection.

Founded in 1917, the Allen Memorial Art Museum (AMAM) is recognized today as one of the best college and university art museums in the United States. The collection counts, among objects from all over the rest of the world, a good deal of high-quality Dutch and Flemish art.
