Mauritshuis offers virtual tour of a "kunstkamer" on their website

Today the Mauritshuis in the Hague opened its exhibition Room for Art, in 17th-Century Antwerp which will be on show until 27 June. On the exhibition website, the Mauritshuis offers the chance to virtually tour one of the gallery paintings by Willem van Haecht (1593-1637), Apelles painting Campaspe from ca. 1630. Click here to go to the Mauritshuis website.

In addition to an explanation on the painting and the figures depicted, the digital presentation gives the visitor the chance to compare some of the reproductions painted by Van Haecht, with the originals by for example Van Dyck, Massys, Corregio and Daniel Seghers
