Museum Het Valkhof finds new curator for the collection of Old Masters: dr. Barbara Kruijsen

From 1 April onwards Barbara Kruijsen will work as the new curator for the collection of Old Masters. She succeeds Ruud Priem, who has become director at the Museum Catherijneconvent in Utrecht.

Barbara Kruijsen was curator at the Limburgs Museum in Venlo since 2003. Before that she has worked at the Noordbrabants Museum in ‘s Hertogenbosch and at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede.

She studied both history and art history at the Radboud University in Nijmegen and in 2002 received her PhD at the same university with a dissertation on the collecting of medieval art 1830-1903.
