museumgoudA is threatened by such severe budget cuts, that it almost has to close its doors. There also is a serious plan to sell the Catharina Gasthuis (next to St. Janskerk) and move part (what to do with the rest?) of the collection to the Stadhuis – a beautiful building but totally unsuited for a museum with large 16th-century altar pieces, to name only the most conspicuous.
