SENIOR CURATOR EARLY NETHERLANDISH, DUTCH & FLEMISH ART

Salary: £29,699 – £36,784

 

Following the appointment of Dr Emilie Gordenker to the Directorship of the Mauritshuis, The Hague, a vacancy has arisen for a Senior Curator based at the National Gallery in Edinburgh.  The postholder will compile the catalogue of the Dutch, Flemish and Early Netherlandish works in the collection.  The role will also involve contributing to publications, curating exhibitions and lecturing on the collection. 

 

With a relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in the history of art, the postholder will have an in depth knowledge of the relevant specialism and a broad knowledge of the history of European art.  In addition to English, a working knowledge of at least two modern European languages (one of which should be Dutch) is highly desirable.
