Sandra Janssens leaves Musea Brugge for Zilvermuseum Sterckshof in Antwerp

CODART member Sandra Janssens, scholarly associate at Musea Brugge will leave that museum this fall to become director of the Zilvermuseum Sterckshof in Antwerp where she succeeds acting director Wim Nys.

Sandra Janssens holds a degree in Art History and in Social and Cultural Antropology. After her studies she worked as an assistant-curator in the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten (KMSKA) and after that as scholarly associate in the Groeningemuseum in Bruges.

Now she returns to Antwerp. About the Zilvermuseum she says: "In the Zilvermuseum Sterckshof I want to show silver in all its diversity, showing both the esthetic and functional context. Design is trendy now, but also in the past. I want to characterize silver as a discipline within designin the past and now."

It is not yet known who will replace Sandra Janssens in Brugge
